About
WideSprout
WideSprout Stories is a storytelling platform exploring myths, legends, family tales, history, folklore and imaginative stories from around the world. The goal is simple: tell stories worth remembering.
Why We Tell Stories
Because the Details
Fade First
Every culture has lost more stories than it has kept. A storyteller dies, a manuscript burns, a grandmother’s version of a tale never gets written down — and the next generation inherits a smaller, quieter world than the one before it.
WideSprout Stories exists because we believe the opposite is possible: that a story told well, and kept somewhere people can find it, can outlast the person who told it best.
What We Explore
Eight Worlds,
One Publication
Mythology, family, folklore, history, legends, fantasy, moral stories and short stories — each one told in its own voice, researched and written with the same editorial care, and gathered under one roof so a reader curious about Greek myth today might discover a Nigerian family story tomorrow.
We’re not building a single genre. We’re building a home for every kind of story worth telling.
The YouTube Channel
Stories, Narrated
and Brought to Life
WideSprout Stories began as a YouTube channel before it became a publication, and the two have grown side by side ever since. Every written story on this site is paired with a narrated video — cinematic, carefully scored, and built for anyone who’d rather listen than read.

More Worlds.
More Series.
More Voices.
We’re building out new story series, expanding into more cultures and storytelling traditions, and slowly turning WideSprout Stories into the kind of place you can lose an afternoon in — one story leading honestly into the next.
